As a Registered Nurse (RGN) you will be an integral part of the healthcare team and will be involved in everything from clinical triage to the evaluation of patient care and standards. Youll carry out and potentially develop nurse-led clinics, reviewing patients histories, undertaking relevant examinations and tests, organising any necessary treatment, and referring patients to other healthcare professionals when you need to.

Main duties of the job

You should possess a good working knowledge of conducting risk assessments and care planning as well as someone who is creative and forward-thinking to work through the issues that may arise in this challenging but exciting environment. Knowledge in therapeutic interventions such as CBT or Steps to Wellbeing is desirable but transferable clinical skills will be considered with appropriate training provided.   Youll receive an annual salary up to 39,300 per annum - depending on experience + 2 year Golden Hello (2,000 in Year 1 of service and 1,500 in Year 2 of service - conditions apply). Practice Plus Group is a specialist provider of NHS services into prison healthcare across over 45 different prisons, young offenders and immigration removal centres. HMP Winchester is a category B mens prison for those on remand to local courts, with an operational capacity of 690.
