Specialist Rehabilitative Audiologist Combined role

Hours: 37.5 Hours per week

We are seeking an experienced audiologist to work with adults in our busy, friendly community service.

This is a great opportunity to take on a leadership position as the post includes deputising for the head of service, working at an advanced clinical level, managing complex patients with rehabilitative needs and playing an important role in service development, delivering high-quality care, improving service pathways, and supporting workforce development initiatives.

You will work closely with our hearing therapy team to deliver a comprehensive, rehabilitative hearing aid service to people living in Bath and North East Somerset.

This role is a full time post and requires a combination of senior clinical work for 3 days a week on a band 6 and deputising for the head of service for 2 days a week at a band 7. The salary banding for this combined role is £40,862 - £48,100 (with the addition of the national AfC pay award to be applied from January 2026).

Main duties of the job

You will bring:

  • A recognised qualification in Audiology (NSC, BSc, Diploma in Audiology, or HND MPPM with BAAT/BAA Parts I & II or equivalent)
  • Registration with AHCS, HCPC, or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of postgraduate (M-level) study or equivalent experience
  • A background in working with adults and complex case management
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills

Main duties of the job:

Reporting into the Head of Servicer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform the full range of advanced audiological assessments and interventions
  • Lead clinics for complex rehabilitative cases
  • Develop areas of advanced practice within the team
  • Take a lead role in a defined clinical specialism
  • Support training and supervision of junior staff, students, and trainees
  • Line management of trainees and assistant audiologists
  • Contribute to service delivery planning and quality improvement
