We have an exciting opportunity for a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to join our Imaging team based in Hemel Hempstead. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary plus benefits.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the qualified radiographers with their day-to-day duties and to provide patient support for patients attending the imaging department at OSH.

• The post requires a flexible approach to working days/hours to meet the needs of the service

The successful candidate will be expected to work on a shift basis, working 37.5 hours per week over a 7 day rota during the hospital operating hours. The rota is not fixed, is subject to change in order to meet operational needs and will be required to work weekends and bank holidays in accordance with the rota.

About you

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Minimum five GCSEs or equivalent (Grades A-C) to include Math, English and a Science Subject, or NVQ Level.

• Experience in undertaking patient care, tasks and activities across modalities, ideally within a healthcare/private healthcare setting.

Education/ Qualifications

Essential

• Minimum five GCSEs or equivalent (Grades A-C) to include Math, English and a Science Subject, or NVQ Level.

Experience

Essential

• Can demonstrate a range of core skills to competently undertake patient care, tasks and activities across modalities.

Desirable

• Private healthcare experience
• Previous experience with a healthcare setting and/or prior knowledge of Medical Imaging

• IT literate
• Good organisational skills
• Aware of confidentiality issues
• Able to work as a member of a team

• Working knowledge of IT systems within a healthcare setting.
