Job summary
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Out of Hospital team provides administrative support to patients that are registered to both community gynaecology and chronic pain/chronic fatigue syndrome/ME services. The successful candidate will join an established team of administrators supporting a range of duties that include appointment booking, clinic outcomes, telephone calls tasks and email enquiries. The successful candidate will be required to:
- Provide day to day effective and efficient administration support.
- Be able to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Talk to patients/clients in a positive and friendly manner and deal with their queries
- Deal with administrative duties in a timely and efficient manner
Main duties of the job
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working as part of a busy team, process telephone requests for appointments, visits, and telephone consultations accurately and appropriately.
- Accurate data entry and processing using SystmOne and other databases
- Flexibility in approach to work tasks, able to prioritise a busy workload
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Able to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, patients, and contractors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing requirements of the service
