As a Social Worker, you can be the reason why lives change for the better, helping some of the most vulnerable people gain a brighter future. 

With previous experience from the NHS or private care, you can join the multidisciplinary team at Spring Wood Lodge, Leeds which has a strong emphasis on teamwork, and where you will provide care for patients to step down through their recoverys. 

As a Social Worker you will manage a complex caseload and be responsible for social care assessments, risk assessments, facilitate group activities, and will contribute to ICR meetings, supporting service users to make viable plans for their future. Full time 37.5 hours or part time 22.5 hours will be considered.

You report to the Safeguarding Lead, and will manage internal investigations and liaise with home authorities for service users during their admission and discharging process, while enjoying access to a range of training opportunities that can see your career grow and you achieve your career aspirations.

• Referrals to LADO and Local Authority in line with safeguarding and assessments 
• Educating Hospital staff about relevant safeguarding matters.
• Completing a full annual social care reassessment within the CPA format.
• Facilitating access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy services and associated support services
• Participating in 1:1 supervision

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A Social Work degree 
• Experience within similar environment
• Experience with working with vulnerable adults

Where you will be working:

Location: 1 Towngate Close, Guiseley, Leeds, LS20 9PQ 

You will be working at Spring Wood Lodge, a service that supports women over the age of 18 who have complex emotional and mental health problems associated with significant risk behaviours. Typically they have a diagnosis of personality disorder or a severe mental illness.  

They may not have had their needs met in a general psychiatric service including acute inpatient units, community mental health teams or community personality disorder service. The service focuses on active rehabilitation with a view to achieving a sustainable discharge.

Essential

• A Social Work degree and experience within a similar environment, including working with vulnerable adults.
