Were looking for a Specialist Dietician to join our team at HCA within The Portland Hospital, currently rated Good by the CQC.
The Portland Hospital is one of six world-class hospitals within HCA, offering the very highest standards of clinical skills and nursing care across a wide range of specialties. It is the only private hospital dedicated to paediatrics and Women's health in the UK. Our specialist paediatric, maternity and women's health units are staffed by experienced consultants and nursing staff, all of whom have access to advanced medical technology and help ensure a positive patient experience for those who visit us.
Main duties of the job
The Specialist Dietitian will be supported by Advanced Dietitians to provide dietetic inpatient and outpatient care to Cardiology, neurorehabilitation, general paediatrics & gastroenterology patients.
The successful candidate will provide a high-quality service for all allocated inpatient and outpatient caseloads. They will provide dietetic advice that is clinically evidence based and in line with best practice standards and appropriate to the patient group, cultures and social contexts of patients, families and carers. The specialist dietitian will contribute to audits, service development and quality improvement projects.

- What youll bring:
- BSc degree in dietetics or equivalent.
- Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and British Dietetic Association (BDA).
- Minimum of three years experience with at least 12-18 months in the field paediatric dietetics.
- Experience in a wide range of clinical areas including oral nutritional support, enteral feeding, weight management, gastroenterology, cardio-thoracic and neurorehabilitation.
- Evidence of continued professional development (CPD) and renewal of clinical skills and knowledge.
- Ability to lead and contribute to service development and quality projects.
- Experience in evaluating projects and conducting clinical audits.
- Knowledge and understanding of nutritional screening tools.
