NHS South Yorkshire brings
together partners from health, care, local government, and the voluntary and
community sector to improve the health and wellbeing of people living in
Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield.
We are seeking an exceptional,
values-driven leader to join us as Chief Executive Officer for NHS South
Yorkshire ICB. This is a senior system leadership role at a pivotal moment for
the NHS, with significant opportunities to influence long-term population
health and lead the transformation required to implement the Model ICB
Blueprint, shaping services, reducing inequalities, supporting prevention, and
ensuring resources are used effectively to deliver the best outcomes for our
population.
The CEO will lead the ICBs
transition into a strategic commissioner, overseeing population health
strategy, resource allocation, delivery of our 2025/26 plans, and
organisational redesign. Working closely with the ICB Chair, partners, our
communities and the executive team, the postholder will ensure that NHS South
Yorkshire delivers high-quality, sustainable, outcome-focused services for
local people.

We are
looking for a leader who can demonstrate a clear commitment to NHS values and compassionate,
inclusive leadership. Someone who can show openness, integrity and the ability
to create a positive, people-centred culture, and who can foster a culture of
effective partnership and collaborative working across organisational and
sector boundaries.
Candidates
will have a substantial record of experience as a CEO or board-level leader in
a complex, regulated, consumer-facing environment, and will have successfully
led significant organisational or system-wide transformation. They will have
deep understanding of health, care and local government systems, and the wider
determinants of health, and experience developing and delivering long-term
strategies that improve outcomes and value.
