Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist who wants to develop upon their clinical and leadership skills to lead the therapy service at Athlone Rehabilitation Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to work with us on a fixed term secondment until end of 31-JULY-2025, to enhance the clinical effectiveness of the rehab service delivered at Athlone Rehab Unit. You will be closely supported by the Clinical Therapies Lead as well as the Team Lead Occupational therapist based at Athlone House Rehabilitation Unit and the Team Lead Occupational Therapist at Alexandra Rehab Unit.
Main duties of the job
Significant post graduate experience of multidisciplinary team work in an NHS environment
Strong knowledge and expertise in working in adult/ older people's rehabilitation in a physical or mental health setting, neuro rehabilitation, acute settings or community rehab services.
Experience of working in close collaboration with community services, Social Care colleagues and other voluntary sector organizations in order to deliver safe transition of care from the rehabilitation setting to discharge destination/home
Experience in directly managing other members of therapy staff
Experience in service development and in organizing and implementing training/teaching programmes for healthcare professionals and clients
