Job summary

Join our NHS team to provide reactive and planned building works and repairs across Herefordshire and Worcestershire healthcare NHS buildings. We offer resources to develop and progress a long-term career, continual professional development as well as a wide range of wellbeing and support.

Main job details:

Contracted full-time hours 37.5 hours over 5 days Mon Fri 08:00 16:00 Hrs

Van, fuel and tools provided

Mobile phone provided with CAFM job allocation software for low to high priority reactive/planned tickets.

Area covered:- Worcester & Herefordshire Healthcare NHS Trust from Evesham, Pershore, Malvern, Worcester, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Tenbury & Redditch.

Working arrangements:- working across multiple sites based from Newtown Hospital, Worcester workshop and travelling from home to site where job allocations required on a daily basis.

Main duties of the job

Reactive Works - include reactive and planned general building repair work jobs received as low to high priority tickets from CAFM mobile solution including such works as roof leak repairs, slabbing for fire exit safe egress, tarmac pot hole repairs (use of whacker plate machine), plastering, tiling, grouting, bricklaying repairs to damaged walls in car parks or building disability ramps; fence repairs, fence post concrete breaking, hole digging, cement mixing, installing new guttering, new fencing, temporary works security fencing - collection, delivery, putting up and down post incident; some carpentry - skirting, worktops, shelves.

Planned Maintenance Works regular gutter cleaning, road & path safety inspections, draining works, fire escape clearance checks; 12 x monthly ladders & steps estate wide log update check (Jan); zip-up PASMA scaffold erection (training supplied).

(1998) Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Registration, Health & Safety Prefabricated Towers Training Certificate, General Ladder Safety Certificate, Scaffold Safety Inspections
