Job summary
Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy services are evolving, and
the Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner service has an exciting opportunity to
join the Trust. We have two
opportunities on offer within the Advanced Physiotherapy Team. One opportunity is on a permanent basis (18.75
hours/week) and the other on a 12month fixed term contract (15 hours/week). You will be at the
forefront of expert clinical practice and the transformation of Musculoskeletal
pathways across beautiful Worcestershire.

Main duties of the job
The service
provides a single point of access for MSK and Orthopaedic referrals. You will provide specialist triage of
referrals form GPs, FCPs and Physiotherapists into the single point of access.
You will
contribute to high quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based
knowledge and skill. You will be managing a highly complex clinical case load. You
will provide advanced clinical assessment and utilize advanced clinical
practice skills such as diagnostics, peripheral joint injections (injection
skills required), or specialist secondary care referral, to support management
of patients within the Worcestershire Musculoskeletal pathways.
You will be
provided with Specific Professional Activity time. You will lead on clinical
and service development of the APP service and musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
team. You will provide teaching and supervision of clinicians and students to
help to shape the future workforce. You will complete audit and research within
the service.
