If you are an Art Psychotherapist looking for a senior role in a vibrant, growing team of Arts Psychotherapists read on...We are recruiting to this opportunity within the community art psychotherapy team which sits within our Trust-wide Arts Psychotherapies Service. In recent years, the team has grown significantly, and we are proud to offer a career structure from entry-level to Consultant Art Psychotherapist. We have arts psychotherapists located in community and specialist services and an expanding trainee placement scheme. You will be located in either the North or East hub (based in Erdington or Small Heath) in a busy Community Mental Health Team setting. You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of clinical staff as well as being part of the Art Psychotherapy Community Team and wider Arts Psychotherapies Service in the Trust. The role involves supporting Band 7 and 6 arts therapists and trainees and offers the opportunity for an experienced art psychotherapist to develop leadership and management skills.

Main duties of the job

Developing and informing referral pathways, facilitating a range of art psychotherapy interventions to individuals and groups, providing consultation to other clinical staff and working as part of the MDT within the CMHT setting. You will receive clinical supervision from an experienced art psychotherapist, line management support from within the community art psychotherapy team, access to training and development opportunities and have the chance to develop your career within a dynamic team in a busy setting. You will have opportunities to develop your leadership, management, clinical supervision and training skills and take part in audit, research and innovation projects.
