Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a community rehabilitation band 6 Physiotherapist to join a supportive and enthusiastic community ward therapy service, delivering rehabilitation to patients in a community hospital setting at CLitheroe Hospital, or on the Intermediate care wards at Burnley General Hospital.

The team is a skilled multi disciplinary team and supports improvement and learning

You will be working with patients with a large variety of conditions and disabilities, . You will be responsible for assessment, intervention, and discharge of a caseload of patients, act as the direct supervisor to staff and provide support and expertise to the other members of the team.

We offer a fabulous training programme within a supportive team.

Clinical supervision and working alongside a clinical service lead to support your development

The service operates across 6 days Monday- Saturday

Main duties of the job

The post holder is an autonomous practitioner, responsible for provision ofspecialised assessment and treatment of patientsreferred to the service . Responsible for managing a caseload of patients with a variety of complexconditions including long term condition management and hospital discharges. You will carry out specialist assessment and treatment , rehabilitation and onward discharge to community Therapy services.

Work across the MDT as part of the ward team

Provide support to a rotational band 5 Physio and other members of the MDT
