Main duties of the job

you will play a key role in supporting the dispensary team and ensuring the safe, efficient supply of medicines. Working under the supervision of a registered pharmacy professional, your responsibilities will include:
- Dispensary Support

- Accurately label and dispense medicines in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Complete and maintain accuracy checking training to support safe supply of medicines.
- Enter prescription details accurately into the hospital system to update patient records.
- Respond to routine queries and process pharmaceutical orders within your scope of practice.

- Supervise staff within the dispensary in conjunction with the senior managers.
- Stock Management

- Monitor expiry dates, rotate stock, and maintain adequate levels to reduce waste.
- Ensure medicines are stored safely and correctly at all times.
- General Duties

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with Health & Safety standards.
- Assist with audits, prescription turnaround monitoring, and filing of documentation.
- Support training of new staff once competent and act as a positive role model.
- Participate in weekend, late, and bank holiday rotas as required.
