An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and highly motivated, Registered Children's nurses to join our team at Ormskirk.
We are a Level 2 unit with 10 cots providing high quality family integrated care to babies and their families within the North West of England.
If you would like you to join our friendly, experienced neonatal team & help develop our vision for neonatal services in Ormskirk, you must be flexible, have good communication skills, be committed to providing excellent care and be RSCN/RM/RN Child Branch qualified with some experience of neonates.
As part of the role you will be given the chance to develop your management responsibilities, taking charge of daily activities on the Unit, utilising skills required for working in a diverse team and environment.
The post is rotational to night duty and the ability to work as part of a team is essential.
Due to current service demands, we are only able to consider applicants who have relevant UK experience. Main duties of the job
1. Assess, plan develop and implement programmes of care to patients, providing advice in a variety of settings.
2. Carry out nursing procedures in line with current NMC standards of proficiency.
3. Ensure the health, wellbeing and independence of patients and service users across healthcare settings, maintaining associated records, ensuring all patients always receive safe and effective care.
4. Supervision of junior staff and all learners.
5. Always understand and demonstrate the Trust values

We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
