The successful candidate would have clinical activities based at Wirral University Teaching Hospital and St Catherine's Hospital, both based on the Wirral.
Main duties of the job
The Consultant Surgeon will attend out- patient clinics, both general and specialist.
o The undertaking of independent theatre sessions.
o Keeping such clinical records as may be required. These must be dated, named clearly and signed, and made at least daily for all inpatients. Other related administrative duties including Discharge and Clinic Letters.
o Supervision of the trainees and middle grades when they are performing clinical duties.
o To agree to read and follow any protocols of medical cover laid down (either in writing or verbally) for the department.
o On-Call within job plan in a 1:12 rota (shared with The Countess of Chester)
