Specialist Psychotherapist - psychodynamic psychotherapy
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Psychodynamic Psychotherapist or Clinical/Counselling Psychologist with a specialism in psychodynamic psychotherapy, in the Barking & Dagenham Psychotherapy Service. This is a 0.5 part-time post with Thursday as a core day.
This is an exciting and challenging time for psychotherapy as the Trust responds to increasing levels of demand and complexity in our population. Our aims include a greater focus on addressing health inequalities, prevention and wellbeing, and delivering more integrated and personalised care closer to home as part of NELFT's Transformation Programme.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced colleagues at the Becontree Centre, 508 Becontree Avenue, RM8 3HR, to help deliver a high-quality, secondary-care psychotherapy service to 18+ residents of Barking & Dagenham with complex mental health needs. The service is part of a Trustwide adult psychotherapy team that spans the four NELFT London boroughs.

Probationary Period

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement - London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata).
