Job summary

We are looking for a compassionate, motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of the team.

You will ensure that an individual programme of care is planned, implemented and evaluated for each patient within own sphere of responsibility.

Main duties of the job

Preparing patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Assisting with invasive procedures such as coronary angiogram, pacemaker insertion, drain insertions and cardioversions.

Assisting in diagnostics tests such a dobutamine stress echo, transoesophageal echo, endocrine dynamic function tests and renal biopsy.

Leading in nurse-led diagnostic tests

Recovering patients post procedure including radiological procedures such as ureteric stents, nephrostomy and IVC filter insertion and nurse-led discharge.

Assisting with pre-assessment of patients.

Providing infusions for patients.

Liasing with Consultants, Registrars and specialist nurses from a wide variety of specialities.

Assisting with research and the development of services such as the current lipid optimisation project.
