The Haematology Department is seeking a motivated Full Time Band 7 Non-malignant Haematology Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist.

The post holder will be working in the Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) and Haemaphillia services. The post holder will work alongside the lead Haematology clinician for the VTE service as well as other members of the Haematology team.

Development of the service is integral to the role.

The post-holder will provide nursing leadership to the developing Venous Thromboembolism and Haemaphillia services.The post holder will also develop the service and work in collaboration with other specialities. Additionally they will autonomously run thrombosis outpatient clinics, as well as in-reach across BTHFT. For both VTE and anaemia, the ACNS will provide patient education, counselling, post thrombotic syndrome advice/assessments, family counselling, anticoagulation management and investigation of causes of VTE and Anaemia.

You will be supported by a strong clinical and management structure, providing excellence in care, education and encouragement to maximise your potential, development and success.

The post holder will be an experienced non-medical nurse prescriber, who can demonstrate excellent clinical care, strong relationships with patients and have significant post-registration experience of managing a team.
