We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-motivated administrator to join the Dermatology department.
You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week.
The successful candidate will need to possess excellent typing skills, communication, time management and organisational skills and must be able to work under pressure.
Working with minimal supervision, the successful candidate must be able to use their own initiative and prioritise their own workload ensuring deadlines are met as specified.
Previous administrative and IT skills are essential. Previous EPR or relevant PAS system & Word applications (Including Excel) would be advantageous as is a good working knowledge of the NHS.

Main duties of the job
PRIMARY DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
To assist colleagues with workloads, providing secretarial/administrative support to the Dermatology teams, Dermatology Consultants and administration colleagues including word processing, audio typing of clinical letters, maintaining patient electronic records (EPR), email accounts, answering telephones, filing, photocopying, distributing mail as appropriate being point of contact for patients and clinical teams.. Monitoring RTT Patient Pathways and RTT Cancer Pathways. Maintaining waiting lists and tracking of patients.
To support the wider Dermatology Medical Secretaries in word processing, audio typing of clinical letters and distribution, typing results letters. Maintaining email accounts and patient correspondence.
Booking, rescheduling patient appointments and other admin tasks.
Receive and deal with telephone enquiries, often of a sensitive nature in a constructive and sympathetic manner, referring to the appropriate person where necessary and transferring of calls when required
To ensure accuracy when administering any relevant IT systems. The systems could include EPR (Electronic Patient Record and/or other local systems - IT systems that records essential clinical and personal information about patients) word, internet and email.
Support secretarial colleagues during periods of sickness, annual leave or training with support and guidance from seniors as required
