Facilities Assistant - Cleaning or Catering

The Facilities Department are looking for dedicated people to join the Facilities Teams to undertake the new ways of working, which consists of either Cleaning or Ward Catering positions.

The successful candidates will be required to complete training for food service processes in line with HACCP (Food safety standards level 2) or cleaning training in line with the National Cleaning Standards. You will be expected to carry out all tasks related to the service of patients for which full training will be given.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills, be prepared to carry out training and be able to work well in a team or on their own, be capable of undertaking physical work on a daily basis and have experience of working with nursing teams & the general public.

Main duties of the job

Facilities Caterers will be working on wards whereas Facilities Cleaners work on both wards and clinical/non-clinical areas. Please state clearly in your supporting statement:

• experience in the Food Safety or Food Service environment, or any type of cleaning in the hospitality/professional environment.

AM/PM Shift Patterns: 07.00am - 13.00pm or 12.00noon - 18:00pm (6 hour shifts) - Approximate timings between these hours
