We are looking for a Psychology graduate who has a good honours degree in Psychology to work with us in our Acute Services within the Working Age Division and are pleased to offer a post working across two new wards on the Kingsway site in Derby.
Audrey House an Enhanced Care Unit (ECU)for women and Kingfisher Ward a male Psychiatric intensive care Unit (PICU)

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Clinical Psychologists working onto each ward. Patient facing work will include short term 1:1 assessment, formulation, intervention and group work. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues to promote holistic care.
The successful candidate will work alongside the qualified Clinical Psychologists to contribute to the service development of the psychological offer on the new wards, including the embedding of trauma informed care. This will involve the development, delivery, and evaluation of training sessions alongside the qualified Clinical Psychologists.
The successful candidate will have good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills in order to engage with people with mental health difficulties, their family members and carers. The post holder will support research and audit activities under the supervision of an experienced qualified Clinical Psychologist.
