Job summary
Job Purpose:
The Healthcare Assistant will contribute to the assessment, implementation, and delivery of high-quality patient care within the Specialist Continence team.
Will demonstrate responsibility to patients, relatives, and colleagues through contribution to the development and monitoring of agreed evidence-based practice and to the health and social care programmes.
To provide a comprehensive call answering and administration support service for the continence prescription service.
To liaise with patients regarding their continence product needs, generate prescriptions, and provide correspondence to other health service professionals.
Main duties of the job
- Undertake agreed activities as delegated by a registered nurse, with patients / service users under the direct /In-direct supervision of the qualified staff.
- Display and maintain high levels of customer service at all times, ensuring all service users have a positive experience of the Continence Prescription Service.
- To respond to any requests for product information and samples, sending them out in a timely manner.
- Produce reports, letters and spreadsheets as appropriate in the agreed format and time.
- Ensure that access to files in the computer is password controlled to maintain security.
- Adhere to trust policy at all times.
