Are you looking for a challenge or change of career if so we have an exciting opportunity within Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust for a full time 37.5 hours Lead Administrator to work in the Community Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team.

This post offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Speech and Language Therapists (ASLT), that provides input to adults with a range of communication and swallowing difficulties. This post is based at Tilehurst Clinic in Reading which is the central base for all communications via telephone and post for the service.

There will be a need for you to attend other clinical sites within the localities, so a car driver is essential.

As the Lead Administrator, your main role is to lead in the development and provision of comprehensive secretarial and administrative support within the ASLT team.

We are looking for someone who has administration experience and IT skills preferably working with RIO

  • You will need to have the ability to work independently and be responsive to the needs of the service
  • Be highly organised and able to manage your own workload.
  • Have a keen interest in healthcare and be driven to provide an excellent service for clients, families, and carers.
  • We require applicants with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to liaise with clients, other professionals, and therapy colleagues.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide administrative support to the Team including diary management,
  • Using RIO patient held records
  • To ensure good communications are maintained across the service; being the first point of contact with external agencies/stakeholders/clients for the service/locality -
  • To lead on service data and monitoring caseloads and referrals
  • To ensure all stock and supplies are maintained across the sites and be responsible for ordering equipment and stationary/clinical supplies as needed including PPE
