Job summary
We are looking to recruit a part-time receptionist to undertake reception and administrative duties in a busy outpatient department in Tower Hamlets. 2 afternoons a week. Thursday & Friday 1.30 to 5pm both days.

The successful applicant will work closely with the clinical staff and administrative staff and will have daily, direct contact with patients, relatives and visitors. Excellent communication/ customer service skills are a pre-requisite for this role. The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times is absolutely essential. You will be well-organised, highly motivated and able to work as part of a team. You will need to be hard working, flexible and reliable with good interpersonal skills. Applicants must be educated to GCSE or equivalent to include English Language. You must have excellent interpersonal and IT skills, including Windows based software products e.g. MS Word, Outlook and data inputting as you will be required to manage a room booking system. Previous experience in an NHS setting and a proven record of working well within a team would be required.
Main duties of the job
To be the first point of contact within a busy environment and welcome all service users in a professional and friendly manner. The post-holder will be responsible for a range of reception and administrative duties and functions and ensure that they are carried out efficiently, effectively and up to a high standard.
