37.5 Hours per Week - Permanent Contract
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Highly Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Nurse Prescriber and Practitioner to join the Neurodevelopmental Team at City and Hackney Specialist CAMHS. City and Hackney Specialist CAMHS is a busy, forward thinking and thriving CAMHS service with high staff morale and excellent CPD opportunities.
The clinician will join a large, experienced multi-disciplinary team of clinicians who provide a range of diagnostic and mental health services to children young people and their families with neurodevelopmental disorders.
Main duties of the job
To provide a highly specialist nurse practitioner and non-medical prescribing service within CAMHS to children, young people with mental health problems and their families. This is a community-based nursing post, located within CAMHS, with close working with GP services.
To undertake CAMHS assessments and treatments, including specialist behaviour management interventions and non- medical prescribing within the Learning Disability and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (LD and ASD) Team and the Attention-Deficit Hyperkinetic Disorder Team, as part of an overall integrated care package To provide specialist advisory, training, consultation and liaison to support staff, teachers and nurses across the LEA, and Children and Young People's Services.
To provide supervision and management, in agreement with the Senior Nurse, to Band 6 and 7 nursing posts within CFCS as applicable, and to participate in the operational management of the LD & ASD Team and the ADHD Team.
To support the role of the Clinical Team Lead, including offering management cover where appropriate

- Registered Nurse Mental Health or Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities or Registered Children's Nurse. Part 3/8/13 or 15 NMC register
- ENB 998 or equivalent
- Post graduate qualification in a behavioural treatment modality

- Relevant post-graduate qualification in child and adolescent mental health. e.g. ENB 603
- MA/MSc in CAMHS related field
- Non-medical prescribing qualification
