Job summary
We are seeking to recruit an ambitious and motivated speciality doctor in psychiatry.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established multidisciplinary inpatient ward team providing care and treatment for residents in Tower Hamlets requiring intensive levels of nursing and psychiatric inpatient care in Tower Hamlet Centre for Mental Health. The post-holder will work at the level of a Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry, principally on the male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Millharbour Ward, at Tower Hamlets Centre for Mental Health (THCMH).
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have regular supervision from the Millharbour consultant psychiatrist and benefit from joining a collegiate and active group of specialty doctors in the borough.
The idea of the option for rotation is that the post holder will have an opportunity to develop a range of clinical experience in middle grade jobs, which may be helpful for the CESR application process and we would be supportive of any post-holder who either wishes to aim towards CESR or to get onto a specialist training programme.
