We are recruiting for Nurse Team Leader who share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, to come and work on our ENT, Plastics and female surgical ward. 30 bedded unit.
As a Nurse Team Leader you will be required to deliver safe effective care for patients; Manage your team and deputise for the ward manager in their absence.

Main duties of the job
The role is within the Ent, Plastics and female surgical ward and will require the post holder to demonstrate a keen interest in ENT, Plastics and female surgical patients .
The post Holder will be required to work effectively as part of an MDT and interpersonal skills will be essential for this role.
You will be working on a 30 bedded unit. the ward provides care for several different specialty and these have their own unique skills.
The post holder will support and develop junior staff members; Serve as a role model and undertake management responsibilities to ensure the service operates at it optimum in the absences of their manager.

Essential
- Registered nurse on part 1 of the NMC register
- Mentorship and preceptorship qualification or equivalent (or evidence of working towards it)
- Evidence of continued professional development in relevant areas of specialty
Previous Experience

- Experience of nursing within an acute clinical setting
Desirable
- Clinical and managerial experience working on an surgical ward at Senior Staff Nurse level
- Current working knowledge and skills in the management of surgical patients, especially ENT, Plastics and Gynecological surgical patients
- Experience of caring for patients with multiple co-morbidities, complex drug regime's and complex discharge requirements
- Experience in managing a ward/department, including management of staff, rota, staff competencies, resources.
