Job summary

We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse - Outpatients who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

The department is a busy and diverse area with specialties including Dermatology, General Surgery, General Medicine, Neurology and Urology. If you are seeking a new challenge in your nursing career this could be the opportunity for you at this time.

In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £1,136 and a maximum payment of £1,915 per annum pro rata

Main duties of the job

As a member of the Outpatient nursing team, you will have various opportunities in developing your nursing skills and knowledge in the Outpatient Department.

You will become an essential part in providing a high standard of research based patient care.

You will be providing support to the team of staff in delivering a quality service that is linked to high standard of patient care.

This is an opportunity to undertake any appropriate training required to support the ongoing training and development of the nursing team You will also have an opportunity to develop own personal development plans, in line with local /Trust objectives and in conjunction with your annual appraisal.

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care needs of patients attending the outpatients Department, with the involvement of patient's and their relatives/carers.

Communicate effectively and work in partnership with patients, nursing collages, the Multidisciplinary Team and all other relevant personnel.
