Job summary

An opportunity has arisen within the Therapy Department at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for an individual with a passion to make a difference to people on our inpatient wards based at Watford General Hospital.

This post would suit an individual with an interest in helping patients regain function, facilitating discharges and being involved in equipment ordering to help patients become more independent and enable them to leave hospital.

This post does not include any evening/overnight responsibilities but the successful post holder would have a responsibility in participating in the weekend and Bank Holiday seven day working rotas (1:4 - 1:6 weekend working frequency).

Main duties of the job

If you have experience in an acute hospital setting and would like to further develop your skills we would welcome you to apply.

This post is based in the care of the elderly therapy team comprised of experienced static and rotational staff.

This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, dedicated team of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to maintain and improve our service.

This post holder may be expected to accompany Occupational Therapists on home and access visits in the community in addition to being mainly based on the hospital wards.

  • Good general education up to GSCE or equivalent.
  • NVQ level III in health-related subject or equivalent qualification.
