Risk & Governance Reporting System Officer

Job summary
The postholder will support the Governance Reporting System and Risk Lead and Head of Risk Management in maintaining risk management processes and records at MTW. Working proactively to support the delivery of the risk management agenda.
This will include delivering internal risk training and supporting the patient safety and risk agenda within the Trust. With responsibilities for overseeing data quality in the Trust's Local Risk and Incident Management system, they will need a keen eye for detail.
They will assist in creating a culture across the organisation where risk management is embedded at all levels in the organisation to ensure that there are robust risk management mechanisms in place across the Trust.
The post holder will provide comprehensive advice and facilitation to all staff on all aspects of clinical and non-clinical risk, working with senior members of the assurance and risk team to support assurance-related activities and to provide administration and coordination support
To support the Governance Reporting System and Risk Lead in maintaining the incident reporting and patient safety information systems (Risk, Legal, Complaints, PALS, Incidents, Safeguarding, Mortality, Health and Safety) to ensure the Trust has an effective, accurate reporting system that supports oversight and assurance.

Main duties of the job
Administration support for the Head of Risk and Risk Lead
Work with the team to assist in the complete, timely and accurate capture of risk onto the Trust risk register
Support the development and implementation of corporate policies,procedures, systems, and protocols on risk related issues.
Set-up small workshops or other risk events for colleagues including requirement to deliver training as directed by the Risk Lead
Attend Trust Inductions when required to provide information on risk to newly rotated clinical staff.
Provide simple advice and guidance to teams on the management of risks, working with the support of senior team members
Provide administrative support to other areas of assurance as needed and as determined by the Head of Risk and the Director of Quality Governance
Maintain the integrity and security of the system ensuring confidential records are locked down as requested
Assisting in the co-ordination, facilitating, monitoring & maintaining of the Trust's risk register, providing support to Wards/Departments, Specialties, Directorates & Executive Directors.
Run reports from InPhase system as and when needed, including analysis of data to ensure accuracy for responding to FOI requests and completion of divisional reports
The postholder will have good IT skills and experience of working with Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint.
Travel as required to meet the requirements of the role.
