Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a secondment opportunity to join the cancer service division. The Clinical Transform Lead operates as a member of the Outpatient transformation team to provide project and change management leadership skills in order to facilitate service and system-led transformational change within the Outpatient Directorate.

The post holder will be responsible for the successful delivery of defined projects to secure improvements to patient services and clinical pathways as agreed by the Directorate management team. The post holder will plan, organise and undertake the direct delivery of a range of activities to achieve agreed project outcomes. Work-streams will incorporate involving and collaborating with functions from across the Trust and at times primary care. The post holder will be responsible for reporting on all aspects of the project, including escalation and problem solving where project milestones are at risk. We are looking for someone has a clinical background and experience in developing clinical pathways such as straight to test.

Main duties of the job

Essential

  • First level registered Nurse.
  • A proven track record of operational service management at a senior level in an acute hospital environment, including staff management, financial management and change management.
  • Broad clinical experience relevant to the post.

Desirable

  • Project Management qualification
  • Training/qualification in the use of recognised redesign tools/ techniques e.g. LEAN, QSIR

Knowledge

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of building problem-solving, action-orientated relationships with staff/stakeholders.
  • Identification, assimilation and application of evidence and/or best practice
  • Successful management of straight to test pathways inc faster diagnosis
  • Delivery of changes to operational systems and/or processes
  • Experience of identification and management of risks
  • Setting and measuring performance standards
  • Evidence of working with multi-disciplinary teams/groups

  • Experience of working in outpatients and setting up new clinical pathways in healthcare.
