About us

Our team is made up of more than 17,000 staff providing a range of services primarily for the one million residents of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

We work with partners at the University of Leicester and De Montfort University providing world-class teaching to nurture and develop the next generation of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, many of whom go on to spend their working lives with us.

Our Vision and Values

The framework was approved by Trust Board and shared at our in-person Annual Public Meeting. It describes our vision, values and goal areas.

Co-created with colleagues, patients and partners, our vision is now clear: to be leading in healthcare and trusted in communities. Colleagues said our vision should be simple, memorable, and clear about our role as a healthcare provider, and as a result we now have a vision for UHL that is captured in a single sentence and that we can all get behind.

  • We are proud,
