JOB TITLE:Senior Radiographer Post Mortem imaging
BAND:Band 6
BASE: Your primary base will be Leicester Royal Infirmary but travel between UHL hospital sites will be required.
HOURS: 37.5 per week. Participation in some 24/7 working will be required, including bank and public holidays.
REPORTS TO: Superintendent Radiographer PM imaging
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Imaging Service Managers and Consultant radiographer in PM imaging
Main duties of the job

Job responsibilities
- The successful candidatewill work closely with the Superintendent and Consultant radiographer in PM imaging for the area, along with other clinical and non-clinical staff within the Imaging Service.
- This is primarily a clinical role with a degree of first line management appropriate to address service needs. The post-holder will be primarily based in one area, providing leadership and specialist expertise within thepostmortemarea. The post-holder may also work in other areas/modalities as part of a rota.
- To be responsible for the care and comfort of the deceased/patient whilst they are in the Radiology Department respecting their privacy, dignity, religious and cultural beliefs.
- To assist in the development, documentation and monitoring of protocols for working practice within the area. To contribute fully in the regular setting, monitoring and review of performance andquality management of all aspects of the service.
- To contribute to the equipment specification and selection processes as required
