Endoscopy Health Care Assistant

Job summary

You will be required to carry out a number of designated tasks within the Endoscopy Department, which will involve direct care in support and under the supervision of a registered nurse.

You will work as an effective member of the team

Following appropriate training and assessment, undertake clinical and non-clinical duties in support of the registered nurse.

Main duties of the job

Support patient preparation, admission, and post-procedure care.

Assist during procedures (e.g., positioning patients, handling equipment).

Carry out cleaning and safe equipment turnover.

Maintain stock levels and ensure clinical rooms are set up correctly.

Provide reassurance and basic care to patients throughout their visit.

Help keep the department running smoothly by supporting flow and assisting the nursing team.
