Job summary

Woodlands Centre for Acute care in St Leonards On Sea are looking for a Band 3 Occupational Therapy Activity Workerto join the Occupational therapy team.

The Band 3 Occupational Therapy Activity Worker role is full time 37.5 hours and evening and weekend working essential. This includes bank holiday working.

Woodlands is a Acute Inpatient Hospital for working age and older adults with functional mental health and physical health needs. Abbey ward is a 14 bed female acute ward and Castle ward is a 9 bed male acute ward.

Main duties of the job

The Band 3 Occupational Therapy Activity Worker role includes facilitation of recreational, social and educational groups and individual activities for the service users on the ward.

This role involves promoting and delivering activities in accordance with service users' needs.

You would be part of a supportive and friendly multidisciplinary team with opportunities to work in close collaboration with colleagues including: Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor, Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Doctors, Social Workers, Psychologists, Employment Specialist and Chaplin. You will also work with our community practitioners to support service users in their recovery.

Your skills will be developed through Clinical Supervision and Training opportunities.
