Job summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual, who enjoys challenges, to join our team at the Chichester Centre, a low secure mental health Mental Health unit comprising of three wards, two male and one female, in Chichester, West Sussex.

You will be working as an administrator for Forensic Healthcare service where you will use your skills to support highly-skilled and dedicated clinical staff from a multitude of backgrounds including; doctors, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, and social workers, to help ensure that we continue to provide excellent patient-focused care.

As well as the clinical team you will be dealing with patients, carers and visitors to the unit, as well as telephone calls and enquiries from the general public, patients and relatives.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person who has:

Planning and organisational skills Ability to work on own initiative as well as works well in a team Has good PC skills: - experience of Microsoft Office, including but not exclusively Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, SystmOne and SharePoint Has excellent written (including minute taking) and verbal communication skills and a pleasant telephone manner Helpful and flexible attitude is essential Has good interpersonal skills and is able to work in a confidential and sensitive manner

You will be provided with training and development opportunities and regular supervision.

This is for 24.5 hours across 3-4 days which would which we would prefer to include a Monday and Friday (these days may be subject to change and as much notice as possible will be given). We will also consider a job share.
