Job summary
This post is within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialty and requires the successful candidate to be competent to work on an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Tier 3 rota.
This exciting post provides a 12-month intensive out of programme (OOP) experience for ST3+ level doctors to develop and practice service improvement and clinical leadership in the field of Sustainability in Healthcare, through the delivery of and support to local and national GIRFT improvement initiatives aimed at reducing variation, and an opportunity to publish and present related research as part of the programme.
Postholders will have regular access to senior clinicians, including Professor Tim Briggs, the National Director of Clinical Improvement and will form part of a cohort of GIRFT Fellows. There will be collaboration with other national fellowship programmes, e.g. the National Medical Director's Clinical Fellows Scheme and the Chief Sustainability Officer's Clinical Fellows Scheme.
Main duties of the job
The duties will be split between GIRFT work and clinical obligations which will vary according to the Trust.
