Our fully integrated community OneTeam in the beautiful Avon Valley locality of The New Forest (Fordingbridge and Ringwood) seeks an experienced phlebotomist to join our expanding team.
Working strictly in accordance with specific trust guidelines and protocols, the post-holder will be responsible for performing venepuncture to obtain blood samples from patients only as the result of a direct referral from a GP. Full training and induction will be provided to the successful applicant.
Flexible working shift patterns seven days per week, between the hours of 8am and 8pm can be supported.
Main duties of the job
To provide a high-quality domiciliary phlebotomy service to patients who are housebound in the community. To assist with specific tasks related to patients in the community as delegated by the Health Care professionals.
To work with the Health Professionals in facilitating patients access to domiciliary phlebotomy service enabling them to remain at home. To work independently without direct supervision in patients' homes after a period of induction following competency based assessment.
To demonstrate Venesection skills to other HCSW's new to the community as part of an agreed training programme.
