Job summary
To provide leadership and support to the maternity services by being the link midwife for the Addictive Behaviour Services and Associated Practices within maternity services.
Main duties of the job
To provide leadership and support to the maternity services with regard to vulnerable women, including asylum seekers.
To provide midwifery care and support to a defined caseload of women and their families within the community setting and supporting the pathway between hospital and community.
Show expertise and leadership in Antenatal/Intrapartum and postnatal care, continuing to develop and manage practice and actively participate in achieving the Maternity Services and Trust's objectives.
To participate in the development of a service that improves multi-agency networking and the collection of information with relation to addictive behaviour and vulnerability
Provide midwifery expertise, advice, skills, leadership and support at a senior level to all midwives within the Maternity Services.
Lead and support all staff providing support and expertise in Addictive behaviours and vulnerable patients.
