Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Advanced Practitioner with knowledge and experience within Breast Diagnostic Services to join our team.
In this key role you will be a member of the multi-disciplinary team working across the Breast Screening Service for the North Lancashire and South Cumbria areas and the Trust's Symptomatic Service. The successful candidate will be HCPC registered, with a BSc or diploma in Radiography and appropriate post graduate qualifications. We are seeking either an Advanced Practitioner with Post Graduate qualifications in at least one area of advanced practice, or a Trainee Advanced Practitioner who will be supported through Post Graduate qualification training.
Main duties of the job
The North Lancashire and South Cumbria Breast Screening Service is a highly performing service for Breast Screening with a dedicated, caring and professional team of Consultant Radiologists, Consultant Radiographers, Advanced Practitioners, Mammographers, Assistant Practitioners, Clinical Support Workers and Administrative teams. The unit is fully digital with a robust PACS system. Our Radiology team is also part of the strong and effective UHMB Breast Multidisciplinary Team alongside members of the Surgical, Histopathology, Breast Care Nurses and Oncology services.We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and hardworking Advanced Practitioner with knowledge and experience within Breast Diagnostic Services to join our team.

About us
We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
