Job summary

We currently have 2 full time static Band 5 MSK practitioner post.

This post is based in Stroud Therapies Department, in the newly renovated Kings Street Medical Building in the centre of Stroud.

We are looking enthusiastic Physiotherapists or Sports Therapists who are dynamic, innovative and passionate about the musculoskeletal specialty.

As a Band 5 static MSK Practitioner you will hold an independent case load of patients, with support from more senior Band 6 staff.

We accept referrals from the local GP's, hospital consultants or self referral. We are an adult MSK service, so all the patients will have primarily musculoskeletal complaints and be aged 18+.

Stroud Therapies department has an established workforce and have a busy and varied caseload.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will hold an independent caseload and work closely and collaboratively with the MSK Team. Continuing Professional Development is actively encouraged and supported with opportunities to develop skills.

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.

A valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport for business purposes is essential. For qualifying staff the Trust has a Lease Car Scheme in place and also offers a popular Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme with our partner Tusker.
