Job summary
An exciting opportunity for career development and to further improve local chemotherapy services has arisen for an experienced Nurse who has at least 18 months experience since qualifying and is keen to further their skills in oncology/chemotherapy with a challenge of developing and improving timeliness with access to our chemotherapy services.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic Nurse who can drive forward the Trust's vision and values within an existing team and ensure safe high quality care for patients within our care.
Job Summary
- To undertake a lead role in the assessment and delivery of professional, effective nursing care to chemotherapy patients ensuring the highest possible standards of care are received by patients and their carers while on the ward/unit;
- To support the Ward Manager/Senior Chemotherapy Sister to develop a 'values based' team culture through role modelling leadership, professionalism and demonstrating pride in job role and own achievements within the role and to enable others to achieve same;
- To act as an excellent clinical role model and team leader to all staff; and
- Willing to undertake the Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment course to safely administer chemotherapy with support from Line Manager and Trust.
The Person:
You will need to be experienced, reliable and a flexible approach with a dynamic proactive leadership style. You will need sound up to date clinical skills.
