Job summary

The Culture and Leadership Service are looking for a dedicated programme manager to support us in the delivery of our high profile transformational programmes. Reporting to the Director of Organisational Development and working closely with the senior team members, the post holder will have the exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of our people strategy.

You will be part of an friendly expert team, that delivers a wide and varied portfolio, involving leadership development, staff recognition, engagement, inclusion and wellbeing.

The role is fulltime, based at our Cowley office in Oxford, with flexibility to work from home for part of the week. We are looking for someone with a track record as a business manager, and experience in programme management to enable the smooth running of the service and the delivery of our people programmes.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Director of Culture, Leadership and Organisational Development, the post holder will play a key role in the business and programme management support for the Culture and Leadership Service (C&LS) to meet our key deliverables aligned to our OUH People Plan and Trust priorities.

They will work closely with Director and the Heads of Service in the team, including colleagues in the wider People Communications Directorate, by providing proactive programme management support, including reporting against our performance targets to the Trust's Corporate Governance and Improvement teams.

The post holder will be responsible for effective day to day business management of Culture and Leadership service, including risk management, budget management and effective management of all relevant meetings.

They will also be responsible for the people management of the administrative team, by ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to support the successful delivery of our programmes according to the agreed timescales.

  • Degree level qualification in relevant subject or significant equivalent level of knowledge or work experience in business management and programme management

  • Certified PRINCE 2 Practitioner or equivalent project management experience/qualification

  • Experience of identifying and addressing issues and barriers to programme/project delivery and compliance
  • Experience in extracting, analysing, and presenting complex information in simple terms to a range of stakeholders
  • Significant experience of managing, supervising, developing and motivating staff in a team context
