Job summary

This post's hours will be Wed - Sat regular shift, and cover for Bank Holiday and twilight as part of a rota.

The Orthopaedic team provide pre and post-operation therapy to patients who have had surgery. This role mainly covers planned surgery like hip and knee replacements, ACL repairs, but also may include cross site cover to support the Trauma Orthopaedic Team.

Main duties of the job

The Technical Instructure will carry a caseload that is assessed and designated by the Physiotherapist, working within specific guidelines.

Good standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent including Maths and English
Technical qualification e.g. NVQ Level III Diagnostic and Previous experience of working as a therapy assistant
Current driving licence

Associate Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

Knowledge & Experience

Essential

Therapeutic Care or equivalent technical/work experience
An appreciation of the principles of physiotherapy practices and procedures
An understanding of manual handling principles

Experience of working with individuals with a physical disability e g mobility problems

Skills & Abilities

Organisational and time management skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Effective written and oral communication skills
