Main duties of the job

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Main Outpatients Department (MOPD) including agreement on scheduling and clinic allocation.
  • Coordinating the day-to-day activity in outpatient's department
  • Overall responsibility and accountability for all delegated nursing care within the clinical area.
  • Maintaining a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures.
  • Constant liaison with multi-disciplinary teams within outpatient's department and working cross site where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, staff development, colleagues' motivation, champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement.
  • Accountable for patients, public and staff experience.
  • Contributes to the outpatient's transformation initiatives.
