Job summary
To undertake the full range of secretarial duties and to create patient letters on the electronic patient record PARIS, including typing patient assessments and prioritising urgent clinical letters. To provide a professional and courteous telephone answering service within the CAMHS Reception to welcome children, adolescents, parents, staff and professionals; ensuring that all telephone calls into the CAMHS Service are coordinated and dealt with professionally and in a timely manner. Liaising with families who may be distressed or emotional on the phone;ensuring confidentiality is strictly maintained
Main duties of the job
To create case notes on electronic patient record PARIS upon receivingmessages from patients, parents, staff and professionals conversations thatneed to be recorded.o To upload electronic clinical documentation including care documents, andanything that requires uploading on to the electronic patient record PARIS. To input new patient referrals on to the electronic patient record PARIS whencovering for colleagues due to annual leave or other absences. Be flexible around working hours providing administration and reception dutycover for late evening clinics as necessary. Create and achieve a balance in the workload by prioritising and delegatingwork as necessary and monitoring the situation on a daily basis. Maintain information systems including Paris in accordance with directivesfrom the Admin Lead/Operational Co-ordinator. The post holder will be required to follow prescribed work practices androutines. Agreed precedents cover all duties.
