Job summary
This role is responsible for all procurement within the Corporate & General Category that includes Medical & Logistics and therefore be working with a wide range of stakeholders. Candidates are to demonstrate relevant experience in these category areas.
To lead a specific strategic sourcing programme for a defined category across the Trust, taking the lead on specific or allocated portfolio of sourcing categories and contributing significantly to the delivery of allocated procurement project within key markets.
Main duties of the job
To support the Head of Procurement in the delivery of cost and efficiency savings across the Trust, by analysing current spend profiles and develop appropriate procurement strategies.
To ensure contract compliance across the category, pursuing procurement excellence through the implementation of efficient and effective procurement project within key markets
To meet customer requirements by demonstrating best value for money, through compliance with category priorities and contracts, and by actively managing the market place through the development of key strategies for supplier and contract management
