The post-holder will be responsible for providing clear, effective, day to day management and leadership for the delivery of education and development to the Emergency Operations sectorThe post-holder will be responsible for managing the Education Centre and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of the formal education and training activities.The post holder will manage, support and mentor the teaching staff, and provide management and leadership to centre staff and learners.The post holder will monitor all tutor and trainer development activities and will contribute to development of education and development courses.As a member of the Clinical Education and Standards Department, the post holder will be actively involved in promoting best clinical practice within the Service
Main duties of the job
Maintain personal clinical/technical skills, including requirements for patient contact activity.To ensure that the education and development provided by the Education Centre is responsive and appropriate to the needs of the service.Manage and update all staff systems to reflect current status (ie. GRS, ESR, AtLAS, student database).Responsible for coordinating the local delivery of the service's Education and Development Strategy and Plan.A key role in ensuring the delivery of the education packages is cost effective, efficient and timely Lead in continually reviewing, developing and improving the educational and training activities to maximise patient care.Contributing to the transformation and development of the department, its purpose and culture.As a work based education and training specialist, provide leadership and management to staff and learners in the Education Centres, supporting their professional and personal development.Lead the collaborative working across a number of internal LAS departments to co-ordinate the effective booking systems for CE&S resources (i.e room bookings, equipment use, availability of technical equipment).
