We are looking to recruit a Band 5 Registered Nurses who are highly motivated and enthusiastic to join our very busy department at Seacroft. Hospital and community Diagnostic centres.
The successful candidates will be flexible, able to work effectively as part of a team and manage the pressure of working in very busy environments. The Seacroft Outpatient department incorporate the new and exciting Diagnostic hub and staff are expected to work at the two spoke sites at Beeston and Armley also. Community diagnostic centers allow patients easier and quicker access to several diagnostic investigations across the three sites.
As a Staff Nurse, your main responsibilities will include providing excellent care for patients, managing clinic flow, supervising and mentoring junior staff and students on placement. You will also be expected to support phlebotomy team at busy times.
Please note that the hours of work at Seacroft will be 08.00- 20.00. 7 days a week as part of CDC national requirements. Currently working Monday Saturday 8 5 at Seacroft and and Monday to Friday 8 5 AT Armley and Beeston. Full and part time hours are available to suitable candidates.
Main duties of the job
The jobholder will work within an environment caring for adult patients who are attending Multi speciality Outpatient service at Seacroft Hospital and Community Diagnostic spoke sites at Beeston and Armley. The Main department provides Outpatient appointments and the community diagnostic investigation service. The outpatient services delivered at Seacroft are mainly Cardiology, Respiratory and Neurology specialities may use the department if required. Main responsibilities include managing patient flow, undertaking investigations including phlebotomy, ensuring excellent standard of care is delivered, taking charge in absence of department manager and providing educational opportunities and support to junior staff, new starters and students.
