Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Service Management

• Provide operational leadership for the radiotherapy imaging service, including staffing, workflow, and service delivery
• Support strategic development of imaging services in collaboration with senior leadership
• Line-manage clinical imaging staff and contribute to workforce development and succession planning
• Lead service improvement and efficiency initiatives
• Clinical & Technical Expertise
• Act as a Medical Physics Expert (MPE) under IR(ME)R regulations
• Support and deliver imaging, treatment planning, dosimetry, and quality assurance activities
• Lead commissioning, calibration, and validation of imaging and radiotherapy systems
• Ensure safe and effective clinical implementation of advanced imaging techniques

• Research & Innovation

• Support transitional research outcomes into clinical implementation
• Contribute to grant applications and external funding opportunities
• Publish and present research at national and international levels

• Clinical Development

• Lead the development and implementation of new imaging techniques and workflows
• Evaluate and procure advanced imaging technologies
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes

• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with clinicians, radiographers, physicists, and external partners
• Represent the imaging section at departmental and strategic meetings
• Support cross-functional projects including imaging, planning, and software development
